this morning I turned on my phone and it showed the Samsung and Verizon things. When it finished it showed nothing. But when my calendar went off it showed the calendar full-screen notification. After I dismissed it showed nothing again. I've tried safe mode. Any ideas?

I'm not certain if you are experiencing a software issue or a hardware issue... but you can back up your data first and then try these steps to see if it helps:
