locked out of tagital tablet
I have a Tagital tablet, and I cant remember the password on it. How do I reset it?

Here is the procedure to hard reset the tablet:
1. Press and hold down the Volume UP button
2. While still holding the Volume Up button press and hold the Power button
3. Release the Power button when the tablet powers up, but continue holding down the Volume Up button
4. Release the Volume Up button when the tablet reaches the system recovery screen
5. Use the Volume Down button now in order to scroll down to wipe data/factory reset.
6. Use the Power button to select
7. Use the Volume Down button to scroll down to delete all user data
8. Use the Power button to select again
9. "Reboot system now" will now highlighted automatically.
10. Use the Power button to select

So, I have what appears to be a TX9 and that just doesn't work. volume up/power in the sequence mentioned after a long hold shutdown just boots normal. Thoughts?

Just double checking that you're holding the Volume Up and the Power buttons pressed down together at one stage near the beginning of the sequence..
The description above may be misleading as it doesn't really indicate that both buttons end up being held together for a short time. (I'll amend it to be more clear as to what to do.)
The sequence is press and hold Volume Up, while still holding Volume Up press and hold Power (both buttons together) until the tablet powers on, then release the Power button only
Try this (unless you already have) and see if it gets to the recovery menus and you can reset the tablet.

kellifuge slightly off brand tablets do not have to follow a standard reset procedure. I suggest that you try this one. Let us know if it works.Reset the password in Recovery mode by following these steps: Power off the tablet. Press the Power and Volume buttons at the same time until the system boots into fast boot. Select Recover Mode by pressing the Volume button, then press the Power button to reboot the tablet to the Recovery mode OS. Please keep in mind that a factory or hard reset most often will delete your files (music, pictures, etc) so consider those a loss unless you already have made a backup.

I tried this a few times, but it still did not work.
kellijfuge what happens when you try to reset it?
It just booted up normally.
Did you ever figure anything out? I am having the same issue when I try to reset my sons tagital tablet. Myself and my husband have tried many times and have even watched videos on how to do it along with reading different blogs. I Don't know what else we are missing!
did you ever get this fixed i have the same issue but mine is stuck with the lock and time on the screen and the unlock sequence doesn't do anything for mine either touch screen doesn't work either so i cant slide the lock to unlock it

iirc these tablets are Allwinner based, and usually don’t have a recovery menu
you need the flash software but it’s a nightmare to use

Can't not get into settings or anything else do to it says I'm locked out and on white list. All I done was turn it in to set up for my grandson before Christmas now can't do anything with it. Broken
