Try to unplug it and plug it in again. Or maybe the backlight shorted out.

Hi Walker, Thanks for your tip. Another question is: Why, after changing the display and wearing a sunglass with polarized lenses the screeen turns black following the main function of those lenses. My curiosity is: Why this behavior is happeing now and with original display didn't? Any clue?? Thanks in advance. Rgds

You do realize a LCD screen leverages polarized light to function. The light source is directed at the screen north to south from the back. The LCD blocks the light north to south when not turned on. When the LCD cell is activated the light is twisted east to west which allows the light to pass through the colored filter outwards to you. Your sunglasses maybe also set east to west so the now west to west light is blocked. If you turn the sunglasses north to south the polarization of the light won't be blocked. Marco, it sounds like you have a low quality replacement screen. If you connect the original screen, do you have the same backlight issue? If not, then it's definately the screen. Additionally, the polarizing filter was installed incorrectly and that is why you can't seen anything with sunglasses.

If the original screen also has the same issue, then your problem is on the logic board, specifically the cathode filters. That would require a micro-soldering repair.

Hi Minho. When you mention "incorrect install of polarizing filter" what are you talking about exactly? Where is located this filter which I may be installed incorectly? In fact I haven't heard about this on researches. Thanks in advnce + Rgds. Marco

The polarizing filter is installed between the LCD and screen when the screen assembly is assembled/manufactured. If it was incorrectly installed, it will cause the problem you have identified.

So, there´s no action on my end which might cause such issue. Thanks for your prompt response. Rgds

Yes, I would say you didn't power off the phone or disconnect the battery when changing the screen and shorted the backlight circuit. But wait...Is this a 6 or the 6 Plus?? Also, did you power it off? Unplug Battery??

I know it is possible to also damage the little lights that light up your screen but that's unlikely.

Also, Does your old screen work (To test with) or is it out completely?

Hi Michael. First of all thaks for your answer, help and attention. As for the battery, it was disconnected mostly because I changed both at a time. Display and battery. As our good friend Minho said above, it's most like a low quality screen than any other issue. I'm trying on my first opprtunity to resume the old display back to the iphone and perform tests to check out whether could be any problem on the main circuit board, but in advance I'd say it isn't. Anyway I shall try it out then have some additional information about. I'll be back here even to share the experience only.
