charge dock not working after dock replacement

Hi, I just replaced my charge dock cable on my iPhone 5s. The old one was working fine but just the mic was very hard for people to hear me. I purchased new charge dock flex cable (complete) and have installed it.

Speaker works, headphone works but charge dock is having issues. When I had the screen not completely closed for testing, while tilting the screen the charge dock works sometimes but as soon as I put the screen down into place it stops.

I have taken it out and placed it back, readjusted it all and still the same issue.

Has someone had similar issue with this and any recommnedations? I am thinking that it could possibly be a faulty charge dock flex cable.
