Why is screen working on its own?

Basically, I bought a second hand iPhone 6, and when i first got it i noticed a few letters on the keyboard would press themselves, this progessively got worse to the point where i couldn't use the phone as it would just glitch out and have control of the screen. I ended up replacing the screen and yet it was the same when i powered the phone up. I decided to remove the lcd shield and turn the phone on with assistive touch and to my surprise the screen seemed to beworking fine. This is when i realised i hadn't removed the purple sticker on the back of the new screen. thinking it must be that, i put everything back together. To my dissapointment, the problem persisted. Could it be a faulty screen, the lcd shield is somehow messing with the screen or something else entirely?

Hopefully someone out there has a solution because im really dissapointed at the moment.

It seems like the general consensus is its a digitizer issue. Either a bad digitizer, a damaged digitizer cable or connector, something pinching or caught in the flex cable area. My suggestion would be to open it back up after powering it off, disconnect battery...then remove all flex cables. Look carefully at both sides of connector for either debris or damage. If none, reconnect and power on...see if problem still exist or went away while gently holding phone in open position (like clam) . Just be careful not to connect or disconnect anything with phone powered on. If you can get it working that way, power off, close it...power back on and see if it's still ok. Personally, I believe it's in the digitizer cable or connectors...or even a ground issue...But in some cases the lcd and digitizer assembly just need changed.

Clean the connector with alcohol and check whether the pins and connectors are in good condition.

Replace the Digitizer/LCD Assembly and it should fix the issue. If a new Screen assembly doesn't work then could be a problem with the Logic Board. Or make sure the Cables are plugged in right for the digi on the current screen.
