What to do with the adhesive around lcd connector

After doing a screen replacement does the adhesive interfere with the repair process. I’ve was in the process in replacing an LCD, I had the battery plugged and that’s when I’ve smoke rise up after I had connected the lcd cable. The smoke had came from the lcd connector and smell burnt. Was the mistake was because of the adhesive or battery not being disconnected while in the process of repairing.

The adhesive has nothing to do with it. The iPhone 6S is very prone to backlight circuit blowouts. You have to disconnect the battery first otherwise you can short the pins of the connector if they aren't lined up properly.

You will have to find a repair shop that does micro-soldering repairs to fix your backlight circuit. This is not a DIY fix.

Sorry, I was typing my question in a hurry. Didn’t realize I had forgotten few words, until now. Thanks, I just notice the pins of the connector wouldn’t snap in easily. I was struggling during the process of plugging it in, that’s when I’ve seen smoke coming out of the connecors. One more thing, if the cables aren’t connected properly, once i plug the battery back in. Can I blow out the circuit in that way?

Sure, if the connector is misaligned and you connect the battery, the same thing may occur.
