Bloated battery started pushing off lcd screen

Hello!

Recently i got 3 years old iphone 6 from a friend which started getting problems with it and switched to iphone 7. The problems he was getting were mainly fast battery drain, phone turning off at 60%and screen acting weird from times to times. Because phone was in protection case all the time he hasn't really noticed that screen started kicking off since battery started "growing". Anyways, i have ordered the battery now but am unsure how to propperly remove lcd without damaging it? It seems to me that lcd got loose from the frame on both sides but there is still a corner on the left top where the lcd is holding to the frame. Pictures below for breif idea ;

That's some pretty decent separation! You can remove the screen as you normally would, but chances are it will separate more from the frame.

Once the new battery is in and the pressure from behind is removed this screen should sit fairly flush. At least in my experience. There will be a little play/squishiness and a possible gap depending on how much it separates during removal, but it wont affect the functionality. If it were me and I were looking to keep the repair as low cost as possible I wouldn't replace the screen. I would just get a case that wraps around the edges and keeps it nice and secure. But really for a high-quality lasting repair should replace the full assembly (or just the frame if you know a good tech) .
