Can a Nikon L610 camera be fixed after it's been soaking in soda?
Wife put a cup of soda in her purse, which spilled when she put the purse down, and she didn't realize it. Then she got distracted by her mother and forgot about the soda for 2 days. Everything soaked for 2 days, including the Nikon L610.
It will not turn on, even with new batteries, The pop-up flash is sticky, and the lens doesn't open.
What is the likelihood of the camera working again if disassembled and cleaned?
Maybe with an ultrasonic cleaner?
And what cleaning solution would be best to try?
Or should we just look at a replacement camera?
Looking forward to your response.
