i hooked my tablet up to my HMDI cable to my tv to watch movies threw the tv and now the HMDI cable is not working , when i plugit from my tablet i see on my tablet screen that it is connected but there is no picture showing threw the tv and i have the channel on the tv set to HDMi mode

Have you checked that you have enabled the HDMI setting in the tablet?
You don't state the model number of the tablet so I'm taking a guess here.
Go to Settings > Device > Display > HDMI Settings and enable HDMI

I did that it still wouldn't display what was on the tablet to the TV

Has the HDMI feature worked before OK on your tablet?
Have you checked that the TV is on the correct input?
Have you tried a new cable?
Same problem, no solution for several weeks until:
Then, by chance it started working. Reason: the connector to the tablet is semi-defective, and it just happened to be in the right place at the right time -- for a few minutes. After some jockeying around, got it to work again. (It's not the cable since it works well in another connection.) Seeing the micro card connection behind, I wondered: plugging in a card helps stabilize the connection.
So, at least in this case, it is a defective, poorly built tablet, but beyond the return date. I am worried about the stability of the connection and what to do if it fails completely.

After some fiddling I finally got it to work, but since the video output has a different resolution than a standard TV, it’s pretty pointless.
