The main board is the phone, changing it is almost equivalent to changing the entire phone, of course it will change.

Yes. Every motherboard has its own unique IMEI number. So if you take out your current board and swap in a new one, the IMEI number will be different.

I given my mobile at the service center & they replaced its motherboard but problems in the mobile remained same, also I didn't get any new emi no.

My phone samsung s8+ has an issue with the iris scanning.so they changed the mother board. But to my surprise it has still the same Imei number ...
Yeah because they can change the IMEI and S/N on the board, they probably replaced the IRIS scanner instead but who knows.
M swaped my iphone 6 last year. When I receive new phone its emei number was changed.

Each & every New/Used Logic(Motherboard) comes with a Unique IMEI Number Embedded with it. So, Obviously you'll get a New IMEI Number of the Swaped Board. But, those can also be Changed
