Where is the button flex assembly connecting to the rest of the watch?

Also, I red at an Apple patent that the rotation of the Digital Crown is sensored with a Hall-effect sensor. Is this true? Do you know where this sensor could be located?

I'm just an eagle eye'd person who noted the discrepancy when the teardown was first published.

I think it would be best if you got a watch to take apart for your self.

If I read between the lines here you want to take the guts out and put it into something else. Remanufacturing is always a tricky thing doing one or two might work for fun, but trying to make a business doing it I think is just not worth it.

Have you looked at the Raspberry Pi products? They may offer a better foundation than trying to modify the Apple Watch. Once you build your product you can get the parts and build your own small package system.

My project is to create one individual object, where the Apple watch will be embedded. So I'm not planning on making a business out of this. I just need to make small modifications on the watch to incorporate into the design.
