Touch screen does not work after replacement
I purchased iPhone 5c full screen and digitizer assembly. Installed without issue according to the online manual. Phone powers on, display is good, can receive phone calls (at least you can see the call on the screen) but the touchscreen is not functioning. Thus the phone is useless. Appreciate advice. Return parts? Do these parts sometimes not work appropriately ?
Update (01/04/2017)
My bad. It turns out that on the replacement screen assembly, the cables are so short that it is not possible to raise the attached front panel to 90 degrees to allow replacement of the orange screw on the front panel assembly cable bracket. Each time that I raise the board enough to gain clearance to reinsert that screw, the digitizer cable pops off.
So, what I did was to insert all the front panel cables, installed the 2 red 1.3 mm screw, installed the yellow 3 mm screw, and left the Orange 1.7 mm screw out. When I reinstalled the screen leaving that screw off, the front panel works just fine...(3rd time was a charm) as does the rest of the phone.
So problem solved, thank you fixit! But perhaps those cables could be made just a silly millimeter longer...
Happy new year!

Wow that sounds like a pretty bad aftermarket quality screen. Never had this issue before.
