I have a PS4 that, when you turn the power on, the lights turn on (White pulse) but the fans dont engage and the system never comes to life. Naturally this happened a week after my sony warranty expired. I'm going to test my hard drive by puting it in another machine, and my next thought would be to swap the power supply. At this point Id rather fix it myself since sending it off is so expensive. Any suggestions?

Update: I realized that my USB ports don't work. Please tell me that isn't motherboard failure.
Have you tried restarting it in safe mode? (by holding the power button till you hear a beep)
I tried. I cant get it to put out a video signal.
Have you tested the cables?
I have tries 2 epower cables, 2 hdmi, 4 controllers, and 3 USB cables. all of which I've confirmed work on another device. my current hard drive will boot in the good ps4

Are you sure the fan doesn't come on? Also, have you tried leaving it turned on like that for a like 10 minutes?

Usually you can hear them and I don't hear them. Yes I've tried unplugging it for a week

Just because you can't hear it doesn't mean it's not on. You can take the bottom cover off to physically see if the fan isn't spinning.
I wasn't asking if you've left it turned off. I was asking if you've left it turned ON for a long period of time.

I'll take the cover off tonight. No I haven't. I'll try that as well

I tried leaving it on for 30 min and it just sat and didnt do anything, The white light just slowly pulsed. I need to buy a special T9 to get the screws out.
