Why don't things I type appear on the screen?
No matter how much I press the keys on my keyboard, nothing appears on the screen.

There are a few possible reasons that nothing is appearing on your screen. Please review the troubleshooting page to rule out preliminary issues. I have a similar problem. I usually take my mouse and click in the field I am trying to write in and that will allow me to type text.
