iPhone 6 will only recognized some OEM chargers?(Video with the issue)

Video here https://youtu.be/RJ3zIH5dF2M

I have ran into this problem a couple times before where an Iphone 6 will only read some chargers. There don't seem to be any correlation between when it will charge are not. I'm using ONLY apple parts and on the last test is when I plug it into a computer. I have switch around the cables between the computer and adapters and the result was constant with 12 or more cables cables. I've replaced the charging port and the issue continues the same chargers work or don't work as the first test with the OEM port. The chargers have been used to charge 25+ devices so its not just the one testing devices working with all chargers.

No water damage.

Is any one else having this issue?

I've been hearing this issue from multiple iPhone 6 users. I have come to the conclusion that it is some board issue on the charging circuit where it can not properly identify lightning cables because of some chip being damaged. Not really sure what it is, hopefully someone will know here.

Is it just that phone or have you had this issue with other phones as well?

You could try transplanting the charge port from the device you know it works on to the device it is not working on. If that doesn't work, check the connector for the charge port to the logic board for damaged/missing pins. If there isn't any damage and the transplant doesn't work it is most likely IC chip is damaged and would need to be replaced.

I have had this same issue a few times 4 times out of 100 relative small number but I didn't check previously or dismissed the issue until now so the number could be more.

Also I have changed out the charge port with working devices and the issue continue( Same chargers will read or not read is constant) . Pins looking good.

Then it sounds like the U2 IC chip. I believe it's called the Tristar chip now. It's a fairly delicate chip. You can reach out to iPad Rehab to talk about getting it repaired.

The problem is that right now you have too many variables. You have iPhones, iPhones that have been repaired, chargers and Lightning cables. So if you want to get to the bottom of this, you need to start eliminating variables.

In your video you show one phone fresh after reboot and I'm guessing after a screen repair, then another phone that had been rebooted and unlocked. Right there are 3 more variables. So take those two phones and put them in the exact same condition: install iOS setting it up as a new phone. Connect the charger and see if the two phones behave the same way. If one charges and the other doesn't, then you know that phone has a hardware issue.

Another thing; take the chargers out of the equation. Buy an Anker multi port smart charger. You can charge 5 devices at once and it will adjust power output automatically based on the device. That way you know your charger is good. If you didn't take those lightning cables out of iPhone boxes, I'd order Amazon Basic certified cables. One more thing out of the equation.

The reason for this problem is theres to many fake usb cables to charge the iphone but all its doing is ruining your phone as it should only be charged with the proper apple charger and you can google it and youtube to see the difference and after a while of using these fake leads is it will pop up on your iphone saying that it isnt a reckonised the power lead and if thats the case dont keep using it go out and buy a proper apple usb charging lead and it is afew pounds more but its worth it in the end.? Good luck
