graphics card replacement for Mac Pro early 2008
Hi. I am hoping for some help. I have a Mac Pro from early 2008. Please note I am not v. tech savvy and ask for patience with my ignorance.
I've been getting a funny screen where it turns different colours and gest weird grey /fuzzy lines across then sometimes can't turn off even though can move mouse, or a straight grey screen. It's been suggested it's the graphics card. Does anyone know if there is a graphics card I could get to replace it to see if that would work?
The main reason I don't want to get rid of the computer completely (other than the cost of a new one) is I have a Nikon CoolScan 9000 for scanning my 32 & 120mm photos and it has a firewire, which is no longer used I've discovered on newer computers. Any help/suggestions would be most welcome.
Thank you in advance.
Best,
Tricia
