Does it matter which heat gun do I use for screen replacement?
How hot should the heat gun get? Mine is 250ºC.
Esta é uma boa pergunta?

The heat gun itself is a little less important. You should use an infrared thermometer to know how hot your getting the device that you're working on. Like this

Thanks. That's helpful.
Hi,
It doesn't matter really no, how close you get depends how hot the surface will get anyway, so you need to know how to control that really, making it too hot will damage it, if it's not hot enough you'll have a hard time prying anything off. :-)

But how do I know if it's too hot?
What are you trying to achieve? Glass removal or removal of the screen itself?
Screen removal.
Ok, you need to heat it up so it's a little hot (so you can still touch it, but only for a few seconds) but not too hot that you can't touch it at all, otherwise you risk damaging the OLED screen, this will soften up the adhesive enough for you to get under.
Or use a infored thermometer.
The easiest solution is using a hot mat or heat plate, as you can set the actual heat you need.
Hey Mikk Rebase,
It doesn't matter which heatgun you use, you need like 900 watt. Thats enough.

If I have an iPad Air 2 and need to take the screen off to get to the battery etc which would be the best possible way to do this without damaging the screen it’s self?

I replaced the lcd of my Sony Xperia Z1. The the soft and hard flexi cable tore. At the bottom where you slide the lcd to connect to the motherboard. Now the phone does not go on. Can that be the problem.
