iPhone 6 won't power on

I have an iphone 6 for repairs with a strange behaviour.

Turned off, it takes 0mA.

After you press the power button it takes 600-700 mA but won't start further.

The phone had no water damage.

I am suspecting one of the two power chips. Which one would be more likely to be defective?

Did you change the battery?

The battery has nothing to do with it. I am starting the phone with a power supply instead of battery.

also im suggesting you to check with known good battery

Two power chips as in charging IC or power IC?

If you have tried a known good working battery and it turns on but it wont charge then it's probably the charging IC if you tried another charging port as well.

If there is no display on the screen even no backlight visible from the side or behind the screen and you have tried the above then it's probably the power IC?

The phone doesn't turn on with any battery (tried it already).

The next step is to replace the battery with a lab power supply(not charger) to observe current drawing.

Normally, in a working iPhone 6, when you first connect the power supply and try to start it you get a draw of 0.03A, than 0.5A and than immediately as the screen turns on about 1-1.3A.

Again, I am talking about a adjustable lab power supply, feeding the phone with 3,9V

directly on the battery terminals.
