Burnt out logic board

Hi i recently bought a xbox one that i am hoping to repair please can someone identify the components i might need to buy if this is at all repairable. Im not sure what could have caused this damage and not entirely sure if someone has already had a go at repairing it already.

Sorry that i haven't replied sooner, i have been very busy! Here is a photo of the underside of the board. As im aware there is no damage to the underside whatsoever. Do you think i would be able to fit a new diode? The copper has risen through the top of the board and i cannot think how you would go about removing it. Thanks for your help

Wow that looks like some serious damage! The section of the board you're looking at right now looks like it's part of a DC-DC converter, which supplies power to some circuit which presumably carries many, many amps.

You might want to start by tracing back where the converter connects to make sure nothing's shorted, then perhaps try to install a new (is that a power diode that used to be there?). The PCB appears to be damaged, hopefully nothing on the bottom layers is broken.

I'd probably start by seeing what circuit this powers anyway, and if it's not critical to the bootup of the system, whether or not all the other parts work.

It looks like the DC regulator circuit suffered a runaway short and the intense heat has melted the copper traces and delaminated the PCB. The damage to the layers underneath is unknown, not to mention other components. I would not hope this board to be repairable.

Depending on what's under that trace, there might not actually be too much stuff there. The board is quite large, most of it is DC-DC switching converters. With that said, the damage to that trace is extensive, most likely due to a catastrophic power diode failure. The converter seems to be of similar topology to the multiphase CPU regulator, perhaps reference that and see. I would not say the board is unrepairable just yet.

The photo suggests that this is a later revision of the board, not the same initial retail model that ifixit has a teardown for. I don't have the schematics or board layout for it. If something else runs underneath or near the damage area, they could be affected as well.
