Water damage how to know what parts to replace

Hi,

My Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge fell in the toilet :(

A professional company dried the phone for me, but it won't turn on.

The company told me that it will be difficult to fix. But as long as the phone is broke, i can try some things. I can't make it worse.

I can try to replace the battery, because if it will turn on, that i am able to use some tools. And the battery is likely to short circuit easily.

But what is the smartest thing to do right now?

Is there any diagnostic programme (or something like that) that is able to show me the parts that have to be replaced or is there any other way to do that ?

It is stupid to start replacing parts if it will never work.

This sounds strange, but it fixed my phone. Get a plastic bag, put uncooked rice, then put your phone inside the bag, make sure phone is covered by rice. Close the bag, leave it for 3 days, then try again.

Moisture could be the main issue, rice will absorb any moisture, it fixed mine.
