I shut down and tried to reboot
I turned my unit on, nothing came up on the display - fan is running - light on the front of the unit is not on - I made sure the cables were set - I unplugged the power cord from the unit(for 5 minutes) - as I am plugging the power cord back into the unit the fan kicks in - still nothing on the display - now, with the fan running, the light on the front of the unit is still not on - what do I need to do to solve this issue?

No - I cannot hear the startup chime - the instant I plug the power cord into the back of the unit the fan starts - and nothing else happens - I have left it on for at least an hour or more a few times and still nothing more happens!!
