I broke my macbook screen late 2009 model last week, it isn't totalled but it has black and colored spots on the top right corner. So, can I fix it in home or have to replace it?

If you can find the display replacement, of course you can do it yourself. Now, I must tell you that display installation is not for the faint of heart. It requires much patience and organizational skills. Many screws and tiny parts that are easily lost. This GUIDE should help.
