I replaced the screen, and the metal back plate took a bit of force to get in. The speaker was also not in a straight line across, but the part that sits on the logic board was extruding in a bit more. I screwed everything on and now when i press where that speaker is it created rainbows

Try hard resetting the iPod (you wont lose your data) Press the power and home button down until the apple logo shows then let go and see if that fixes your problem, if not you may just have to order a new screen for it
