iPod Touch 4th gen white screen of death; Please Help!

Ok, yes I know that this question has been answered several times ok this website, but none of the answers have worked so far for me. So I got my iPod touch 4 from my cousin, and the screen was cracked. So I decided I wanted to replace it. I ordered a screen from Amazon (it was $17) and when I was done putting in the new one, it worked great! But one night I was watching Netflix and the screen LCD cable popped out while it was on. I put it back in and the screen went white. It has been white ever since. I tried to reset it by letting it die and plugging it into power, but it was a black screen until the iPod turned on and once again, the screen was white. (I let it die because when I first took apart the iPod, the adhesive from the metal guard plate tore the ribbon cable that connects the volume buttons and power buttons to the board, so those three buttons don't work.

Also, I ordered a new battery and tried to replace it, but when I tried to solder it on, the solder wasn't sticking for some reason (I am not experienced with soldering). After several attempts to get the solder to stick, I ended up putting the old one back on. And with the new screen it worked great, until the scenario I mentioned above.

Another thing I took a look at was the LCD connector. There weren't any broken connector pieces (or whatever you call them) on it, so that area is fine. I also took a look at the area in between the proximity sensor and the LCD connector and it looks like the resistors are there, but I don't know for certain. And I tried connecting the old screen in and it was white as well so I know it's something wrong with the LCD connector.

Thank you for reading my post. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I read somewhere that when this issue comes up after replacing the device might need a power cycle. This is done by disconnecting the battery and holding down the lock/power button for a few seconds. Might not fix the problem, but worth a try.
