Water damaged iPhone 6 - iTunes connects, but dead screen

Hey out there,

I am currently trying to revive a water damaged iPhone 6 for a friend.

I took the phone apart and soaked and cleaned the logicboard with IPA, to get rid of as much water and corrosion as possible. This however, didn't seem to have any effect, as the phone still seemed dead.

I then connected a different screen, to test if the screen were damaged by the water. Unfortunately this didn't seem to make any difference.

However, when I connect the phone to a computer, iTunes recognizes that an iPhone 6 has been connected, and tells me that the phone is in recovery mode, but shows no serial number. Hence, there seems to be some kind of life in the phone.

Furthermore, when I do a hard reset, the phone disconnects from iTunes and reconnects, as if the phone were working perfectly.

Does someone have any experience with this, or have any clues as to what I can do from here?
