Hi
the small plastic/metal piece that houses the side button and holds the charge cable in place when plugged in to charge is broken, so now I cant charge my fitbit, and the side button has fallen off, I know I can get a replacement from fitbit if I am still under warranty, but I would like to know if I can by a replacement piece instead.

I have emailed Fitbit filling out their form and sent a picture of the broken part. This is obviously a defect in an otherwise great product. But...you can't buy the replacement part and since my Charger HR is over 45 days old (of course) then the warranty will be an issue.
Waiting to hear back from them to see if they're going to replace the one piece at no charge. We shall see.

If you purchased your fitbit less than a year ago, they will replace it for you (may be a refurbished item)
I called / emailed fitbit and they sent me another one.
I have the same problem and I am out of warranty. I was able to put an elastic around and keep that piece on & it works perfectly. I just called to ask for a replacement piece and how to fix it and they said they have no way to repair and no way to send out parts. They only offered me 25% off of a new item........
Big deal! I have one that can work perfectly With a simple new piece of little metal. Their option is I throw it out & buy a new one !!!
and what happens when the new one doesn't work! The cycle continues?!!!
Forget it, I'm going to research a new option and make sure "other" product is repairable!
Every owner of a HR is having a fit over there bit and with the new HR out. Fitbit should exchange all old HR out for the new ones. Everyone of us rave to our friends how much we like and love all the data we get from it. It also could be easy to say the competitors are much better.
I am probably at the wrong place for this . I enjoy my fitbit hr however the band is completlet dismandle. can I get a band to fit or do I need a new fitbit please let me know. Angie

I had this part break off too - Fitbit doesn't sell parts and mine is over a year old now, so I fixed it myself with a small piece of hard plastic for the button and Sugru for the case, working very well so far and if you didn't know how the button looked before you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at it..

I thought about using Sugru, but didn't have any at the time... like I mentioned above, if the fitbit is not more than a year old, they will replace it for you as I believe they are aware of the faulty part.
Can you post a picture. I never saw the piece so don't know what it should look like.

For any of you still searching or that may run across this thread, I am offering a solution since fitbit has not. If the piece has broken or is lost this will fix the issue. I am selling them on ebay, you just superglue it on. It is a single piece with an integrated button.

I just bought it. Thank you for having an option fairly inexpensive compared to only 25% discount the company is offering for a defective product.
Do you have the dark purple one? I tried to find it at amazon and ebay but no luck with that specific color.

I found the proper clip. It is sold by centralsound for $9.99 on e-bay. I did not know that there are four holes that are filled in from the old broken clip. had to use a small pick to get the ols plastic out for the new clip to work, It is a perfect fit. I also found a person printing the part; it looks rough,

I had the same problem. My tracker was less than an year old and am being sent a replacement. A simple call made thru Fitbit Support. Fast and painless. My replacement tracker is supposed to arrive in 5-7 days.

New to this post. I am also >1 year out and the opposite side of the frame , including the port hole to the charge connection, has come loose. Can't charge device.
About this sugru: are you using it to mold a replacement piece or as an adhesive for existing piece? I'm not clear on the application.

I had same issue and my fitbit is over a year old. They are offering me 25% discount if I choose to buy new one in exchange of my existing fitbit. I don't like the idea of trading fitbit which is working fine except for one broken part only for 25% discount.
I think I should try and use sugru as well :)

Same thing happened to me. Back plate broke. Have been able to scotch tape button on but charging doesn't work sufficiently. Lasted from August 2015 until February 2017. They offered me 25% discount on Charge 2. I took it as simplest solution for me right now. But not happy about it and totally understand people walking away.

My fitbit clip won't charge. I don't want a new one. The old one worked fine. The battery is still good.
I'm trying to charge my fit bit but there are 2 prongs on my charger but the 2 holes on the charging point on my bracelet has a plastic cover so how can I charge without bending the 2 prongs?

Nope they want you to purchase another device, you do get a 25% discount for spending more money for a broken device that works fine it could hold the charger in place.... a $1.00 part.

I saw clips being printed and sold on ebay.
My Fitbit HR is not working properly as it switch when I wear it , it works few mins then stop working, but when I take it out from my wrist it start to work again. The battery drains faster than before. Is there any solution or I have to get a new one. Of course not Fitbit if this the case. Regards

You can buy a replacement part for the back plastic piece and button for a Fitbit Charge HR at Amazon for $10 plus $5 shipping

Fitbit will send you a new FITBIT if you are under warranty. If you are not under warranty you get 25% off for the next Fitbit. Hardly a bargain! They do not sell the part which probably costs less than 1 cent to make. Check online for "Fitbit parts" - I saw a price of $14 but can't vouch for the company.

Me too. The cover came off after charging it and the tiny little button flew out somewhere. I searched for an hour and that thing simply vanished.

I did contact the FitBit support team and they where not able to help me with MY fitbit, but did offer 25% off a new one! Really! If I could just get my fixed I would be happy!
