Why is my phone keep searching for cellular network and get heated?

My iphone 4s was working very good.But now when i insert SIM card it unable to find network and keep searching for network and start draining my mobiles battery very quickly and also not able to find WIFI network.

Try resetting the network. Settings > General > Reset> Reset network settings.
