Are 1680x1050 and 1920x1200 displays interchangeable in 2007 17" MBP?

I own two Macbook Pros, both exactly the same 17" 2007 models, with the exception that one has 1680x1050, and the other has 1920x1200 display.

The lower 1680x1050 Macbook works perfectly, but the 1920x1200 one has graphic card problems and is generally quite scruffy.

I'd like to replace the 1680x1050 display assembly with the 1920x1200 one.

Would this work without problems? At least they're both CCFL.

By the way, I am an complete amateur in regards to fixing Macbooks.
