Why won't my phone charge even after changing the battery and port?

Hey guys and gals. I'm having a problem with an iPhone 5s. After changing the charging port, and it charging and/but not holding a charge, I've changed the battery. The phone just came back on and so now, I've tried to plug in a lightning cable into the phone and its not reading that its charging. Please help me out! I seem to be underestimating myself when it comes to phone repair... ;(

Could be a faulty U2 IC chip. This chip is responsible for charging and USB functions on the phone. When it is faulty you will experience things like not recognising when it is plugged in, not being detected by computer, when the battery gets to low not being able to charge it etc.

If you have tried changing the battery and charging port and you are sure these are connected properly and not faulty then it is the likely cause.

They can get damaged when you charge your phone with non-Apple chargers and connectors.
