Replace water damaged home button on S4 mini

There is not a guide yet on this site to replace the home button flex cable assembly. I am currently doing a repair on a galaxy s4 mini and will make a guide for you in the next couple days. So check back if you can wait and have no luck finding a guide on another site.

Your phone may also be experiencing this problem due to being dropped in the puddle. It may fix your problem to disassemble the phone and clean the motherboard and other parts such as the connections on the cables and any other parts with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a small brush like a unused toothbrush. This helps remove corrosive minerals left behind by water when it dries. If you have access to or can afford to have it cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner than I would recommend that for the best results. If not then cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol if usually very effective as well. There are some guides on this site as well as on YouTube that can show you how to clean with isopropyl alcohol. I would try a proper cleaning and then reassemble the phone to see if the issue still exists. I will make a guide for home button replacement and maybe more guides for the s4 mini in the next few days.
