Computer is not turning on, might have fried the logic board

Hello

My Macbook Pro 15" 2,2 GHz i7, from 2011, needed some repairs. So I decided to take it apart to have a look at the inside.

But, things didn't go so well. I used what I thought was a spudger, even though I new it wasn't a spudger, but a metal thing.

It gave a spark, smoked a bit, smelled a bit burnt and after that I could turn it on.

So, do you think I fried to the logicboard? Or could it be something else?

I know how stupid I was, so don't tell me!

Thanks, and good day!

Can you see any where on the main board that looks burnt? Look at the little board in the corner where the charger plugs in. What does it look like? If it's just the little corner board then you may be okay. If it shorted the main board you may be borked.

you shorted something for either a low voltage S0 rail for a large chip which is made to power low impedance loads, or PP3V3 which is a resilient rail. You're lucky it wasn't a 5v or 12v power rail or you would have been &&^&@@.

This is an 820-2915 board so it will be fried soon enough anyway without any of your intervention.
