PS3 won't turn off, has no video, controller won't sync

Okay, got this PS3 super slim off ebay. When I got it, clean it out, checked for loose solder joints, checked and redid the heat sinks. The PS3 will power on to green when power pushed, but will only power off if power button is pushed and held down for a few seconds. Did try to do a reset by holding power on but only gets a beep when it turns on and when it turns off, none in between. Have redid the hard drive via another PS3, didn't help. There is no video thru A/V or Hdmi cables, tried several. Controller won't sync up at all. Put disc in and it goes thru motions of playing, not sure since no video showing. Does anyone have any ideas?? Would appreciate input on this. Thanks in advance.
