Why is my malibu idling hard while stopped at a red light?

two day ago i got gas. after getting gas my car starting to run hard when in drive and stopped. I put heat and injector cleaner in gas thinking it was water or trash causing the problem. my engine light came on and scanned it only error was a bad spark plug on 6. it seems to run smoother when in park but when in drive it idles hard. and has a ticking sound from motor. is this all from bad spark plugs, is transmission bad, is it a fuel pump, or a bad motor due to the ticking sound? I plan on changing the spark plugs and wires first but dont want to tear up my car driving it till i find out whats wrong. let me know what you think is wrong.

I had it scanned and the error was saying misfire on cylinder 6. Change spark plugs wires and coil. Still didnt fix it my next option was maybe fuel filter. To it to a actual mechanic today he hooked a pressure gage to where my cylinder 6 spark plug is and no compression if he aint screwing me over he said it will be headgasket or value. 1,200 to 1,500 dollars

have you tried cleaning the throttle valve? you have to remove the air filter, then the mass airflow sensor, and youll remove the black plastic hose and then youll see the throttle valve. Then youll need to buy mass airflow cleaner at store, and clean the throttle from the black crud

Having same problem with 03 Malibu idling high and all the sudden it will take over like it's on cruise control without having to put foot on gas can put it in park and it will go to 3000 rpm had it checked and only code that come up was throttle position sensor so had a new one put on and still doing same thing guy said only other thing it could be is throttle body really can't afford 400 bucks for it tho
