So lots has been said about HDMI replacement with bum pins, easy enough, done it many times, however, I've recently gotten a couple PS4s where lightening blew the HDMI port (ps4 still works, no image, no apparent physical issue with HDMI port).
Has anyone had success replacing these? or is there likely a chance that the PCB by the HDMI port is blown beyond repair?

I'd say it's probably beyond repair. When an HDMI port gets damaged usually it's board has issue's. Still worth a try though. They're cheap enough to replace. Best of luck!
