I updated my iPhone 5 last night to iOS 8.2 and found that if I click on any old text messages it gets deleted completly. Is there any way I can recover old messages?

Hey Creawei, When updating to the new iOS, things like this will happen. You have to realize that the new iOS patches/installs new versions of the apps that are on your phone. Usually things such as photos/videos would stay but messages aren't usually saved. You cannot really recover old messages.
