iMac 27" 2011 Fan Wire Cut OFF 0RPM

My iMac fell in the NVDIA GPU recall program. I took it to an Apple Authorized service provider. I got the GPU replaced for free but BUT !

the computer started shutting down abruptly on me while working, i quickly realized it was the CPU Fan that wasn't running anymore.

I opened it and realized 2 things:

1- One of the screw holding my CPU fan was loose

2- One of the fans 4 cables was stuck and cut by a screw holding the logic board on the chasis.

I thought i would just solder the cable and have it runing again but that didn't work. I took a new fan from another working iMac, it still didn't run.

When I ran some test I found out that it's the 1rst wire out of 4 that was stuck and that wire is the one bringing in 12V to make the fan run. the others are Ground and I suppose the Tachometer.

I'm thinking of bridging the 12V cable from the ODD Fan to the CPU Fan since I took that drive off for an SSD.

Does someone know of a better solution or if this will work at all.

Thanks.
