I dropped my phone in water and the speakers won't work?

I recently dropped my phone into a bucket of water and now the outside speakers won't work? I was wondering if I could fix this or would I have to buy a new phone?

You can find helpful information about what to do in case of water damage on the troubleshooting guide here. More than likely, you will have to replace the speaker.
