Why won't the train turn on?

I got this train as a hand me down and it looks like one of the batteries may have leaked and damaged the the cartridge that holds that battery. The machine won't turn on. Is there anyway to replace this part?

Opções

Clean it well. Then put tinfoil in between the battery and the components. Usually it restores the connection to the battery. Work like a charm in most cases, unless it corroded the inside, too, then it may be a more intense fixing
