The left middle part on the front of the ps4 seems to be broke like it was dropped. I believe this is causing it to not read the wireless controller and could be causing my menu to be laggy. What parts do I need to buy to fix this issue on my own? Where do I buy them at? Sony wants $149 for the fix.

It sounds like it probably was dropped. I think this area is kind of a weak spot in the case...a lot of them break here when they are dropped.
It sounds like your controller must work when it's plugged in and if that's the case then you might just have a problem with the cable or "antenna" inside the top right cover. If you remove the cover you can see it. It goes down under the power supply and plugs into the motherboard. Check to see if the wire is still attached to the metal antenna. It's possible that you need a new bluetooth chip on the motherboard, but that is not as likely. You should be able to find this part on Ebay. I also have a bunch of them in my shop.
Sony charges a lot to fix these. There are several shops in the US that will fix them much cheaper and way faster. A Google search should bring them up. My shop does repairs on them as well.
As far as why it's laggy, that could be from the drop as well. It could have weakened some of the solder joints under the APU or one of the other chips as well.
