Hi guys,
Am trying to fix an iPhone 6, replacing the flex cable on the back of the LCD - does anyone know:
A) what the black sticker I peeled off is officially called?
B) Does it NEED replacing or can I use electric tape?

LCD heat spreader.
Replace parts like for like, don't bodge.

Hi, have you any idea where I can get these parts? (UK) I've checked eBay and ifixit stores to no avail :c
I can find them in China, for UK I have no idea.
How much are they in China? I guess I could have one shipped over!

Ahh ok, could you perhaps link to me a decent website for these? My googling hasn't showed anything up, possibly showing nearest location first

It's used to dissipate heat on the LCD. As @Mia said, this part should be called LCD heat shield.
As for the next question, you'd better not use the electric tape since the part is used to spread heat.
Turn to a qualified people in a repair shop to figure it out.
