I have recently purchased a new charger, so I am positive that the problem is not on that end. I think there is an internal issue with the actual device that is causing charging problems.

Many other users have reported battery charging issues online and say
their devices take anywhere from an hour to four hours to charge.
A couple tips on charging your device are to always make sure you
use a wall charger, and in some cases rebooting your tablet before
charging may help it correct onscreen charging time estimation.
