Hello I have a iPhone 2g and would like to refurbish it but cannot find a original back housing for it in the 8gb model. If anybody knows a place or website that would be great! Not bothered if outside uk but would rather be in uk.

Hey guys, is there still someone interested in iPhone 2G housings with custom lasered IMEI number in 2020? :) I maz have the chance to get some with customised lasering.

I have had a look at at it and seems to be okay. All 3 have same logo so i guess they are teh same bsuiness. Seems quite promising. Good luck and let me know how you get on!

Oh really! thats unfortuante. Probs wont be back in stock as impossuble to find. I've just got hold of 3 myself if you want one? I live in UK and happy for you to pay via paypal. I had to pay £70 each so £80 and its yours?

I found them on ebay, seem genuine as they have gle on the inside on some but i am not sure. Quickly bought them all before someone else got them
I am actually finding some selling for $35. And that site you have shop.td-phone.com actually has the cheapest I have found so far at $34.99 (even better than ones coming from Hong Kong and Indonesia). I found a few on Alibaba for between $1-$20 (I think it depends on the quantity you buy and I do not see the original type face on the casing).
However, I trust nothing from them and before I purchase anything I will inquiry about it with the buyer (for instance, they were selling "nuclear batteries" for cellphones, which turned out to just be lithium-ion batteries). If you got something better let me know! I would much appreciate it because the math here is not making sense. I am spending already $50 (new LCD screen, antenna cover, front bezel) and having to spend another $34.99 seems overpriced when you can only really sell a used iPhone 2G for $68. If I try to undercut the market and sell it for $60.99 I make maybe $10 in profit? How'd that make all that labor worth it?

Try looking around ebay for salvaged ones. I've been looking around, trying to repair my 3 2G's, so far so good..

Thanks, but is used and in very bad condition. You can find used ones without any problem, but what I am thinking of doing is buy new ones and with the matching IMEI number on it, which is essential for collector phones like this. :)
I checked all of my suppliers and couldn't find one. Sorry I couldn't help you.
