The display screen shows the usual battery level when I charge it, but the battery level does not increase. When I turn on the tab, everything works normally but the charge keeps draining even while being charged. Please help!

The cheap gas station wires are usually quite thin and will have too much losses and not enough current to charge while device is on.
Go to a phone store and try one of their chargers in the store to see if it act different. Then you will know if it is your phone or the charger.
