How do I reattach my speaker connector to the logic board?

I read and followed the guide...all the steps...to replace the dc board on a Macbook 13" unibody. Came apart like a dream. Started to put back together in reverse (as the guide says) and can not get the speaker connectors (or any others) to reconnect. What am I missing? I have all the parts, read all the suggestions and I didn't see anything about these needing to be sodered...I hope that's correct because this is my niece's computer and she's going to shoot me if I've ruined it.
