Is there is any precedent for replacement running longer?
Just inherited my parents old 'faulty' 2006 intel iMac. As they purchased a new one 4 years because of the screen issue. And it has been gathering dust, so its become our work music computer using an external screen.
Apparently the replacement only lasts for 6 years, and annoyingly I didn't think to find out if this was a common problem.
Apple have said its obsolete, and past its time for a replacement screen and that there is nothing they can do.
Is there is any precedent for replacement running longer?
Would love to get it fixed for free by Apple
