1TB SSD from the late 2013 Mac Pro or rMBP compatible?

The Late 2013 Mac Pro Teardown notes that the SSD found appears similar to that of the Late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro. Would either of those parts work with the EMC 2806?

Since those can be found secondhand, I'm wondering if one could be used to upgrade the 128GB SSD included in the 1TB and 3TB Fusion Drive configurations of the Retina iMac.

Yes, it is compatible. If you look on eBay you can get a 1TB genuine Apple Samsung "blade" style from a guy in South Korea for about half what you'll pay stateside. I've ordered two over the past month. One for my rMBP and one for my mid '13 iMac. Write speeds are around 950mbs and reads are around 875mbs. Much MUCH faster than the 128 GB sticks that came stock in both machines. They are confirmed Apple sticks and Trim is enabled in Yosemite. Super easy to drop in the rMBP, not so much in my iMac. But worth it when I was done.

The parts would be compatible, Would it be cost effective? Is it a lot of work? Only you can answer those questions...
