Won't turn on after incorrect connection to HDMI port?

Plugged a standard USB cable into HDMI port and now it won't turn on even if power cable is plugged in. Tried replacing battery and though I messed up the copper tape over the main processor I'd think it would still show something. I don't get anything. Wonder what I might have fried?
