My brightness seems to have dim down. I have to tilt my game gear in order to see the images from the games. any user guys to fix it.? or am i best off getting the schematics and trouble shooting the circuit parts?

Your capacitors are probably gone and have leaked everywhere on the board. It's best to get a game gear capacitor kit and replace all your mainboard caps (sometimes your audio caps too, however the power caps are generally fine). Be warned though, it does involve soldering and cleaning.

you need to replace the capacitors of the main board, this will require some soldering experience and time but it will improve sound brightness and colours.

Not a help, but not seen one of these for a while!!!!! Used to love mine, far better than the game boy in the day!
