Chaging light not showing but it's taking charge

My asus transformer t100ta charger is damaged,but charging cable is working fine, so i am now charging this device with my sony z adapter, its taking charge bt very slowly. Few days ago its not turning on, but i fixed that issue by opening the tab, by cleaning dust on the circuit.But after that my power light now doesn't turning on and battery doesn't charge 100% its showing 99%.Plz say something about charging light and charge parentage issue. Thank you.

i have similar problem. For me it lights up when I slowly pull it off until the orange led lights up. Sometimes I have to do it 3/4 times. The reason is because the connection between the cable and the port is not good and from what I read the permanent fix is replacing the charging(micro usb) port on the device. Off course that's for me but you can try it. And be careful when opening it because I've opened it like 10 times and the last time I accidentally broke the touchscreen and now it's not working at all. With batterybar or battery info view you can see how much is actually charging, because for me when the light is off it charges slowly than if it's on.

If you changed the charger then most likely you have to short circuit the pins for the data.

In the original charger they are shorted if you use another where they are not the orange led doesn't light up.
