Broke the clips next to the headphone jack, what to do now?

I was trying to apply the cooling mod on xda and the clips near the volume switch and sim tray won't get undone, after a few attempts I gave up and put the phone back together to not to risk breaking the back cover. Then I realized the two clips next the headphone jack are damaged, most likely due to excessive force on my first try. Now the vibrator often stops working unless I press on the back area near the camera.

Beside replacing the entire back cover, is it a good idea to use a tiny amount of glue to hold the cover in place?

Any tips for undoing the aforementioned clips would be appreciated too.
